The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra presents The Beauty of Ballet

November 4, 2020

@ The Royal Albert Hall

With our recent trips to the ballet at Sadler’s Wells proving very popular each time I thought it might be nice to visit the wonderful Royal Albert Hall for a show that features both ballet and orchestral pieces.

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is thrilled to welcome back dancers from the prestigious Birmingham Royal Ballet for another dazzling celebration of some of the greatest Russian works of Romanticism ever written.

Iconic dances from Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty, Khachaturian’s Spartacus and Minkus’ Don Quixote, as well as orchestral masterpieces such as Glinka’s Ruslan and Ludmilla Overture, Mussorgsky’s Night on the Bare Mountain, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol feature in this enchanting gala event, conducted by Barry Wordsworth.

Having secured an allocation of some of the best seats in the stalls at the Royal Albert Hall there will be no better place to witness what promises to be a stunning celebration of both ballet and orchestral classics.

If you’ve never seen a ballet before this could be just the place to dip your toe in!!
