Frogmore House and Grounds Guided Tour followed by a visit to Windsor Farm Shop and free time in Windsor
August 19, 2022
Join us in the only way you can visit Frogmore House, on a group tour. A very special day is in store with this rarely available opportunity to tour Frogmore House and its Grounds. In addition, we will visit Windsor Farm Shop which is home to an array of local quality produce, as well as a popular café. Our stop at Windsor Farm Shop will be en route to Windsor, where we will spend the rest of the afternoon at our leisure.
Windsor offers a great variety of activities from just strolling the streets of this beautiful town, to taking a boat ride on the River Thames. Or take advantage of the many boutique shops, enjoy a hop-on, hop-off sight-seeing bus journey or visit the local Brewery and their tap room. If there was interest, I might even be able to organise a brewery tour during the afternoon.
Of course, in addition to all of those options is Windsor Castle. No doubt some will have visited before but with this being the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee year, the Castle is hosting a special display commemorating Her Majesty’s Coronation at Westminster Abbey on 2 June 1953. Designed by the British couturier Sir Norman Hartnell, on display will be the Coronation Dress and Robe of Estate worn by The Queen that day.
We have around 3 hours in Windsor itself and so plenty of time to enjoy one or more of the options above as well as getting something to eat from the many restaurants, bars and pubs available. We will leave Windsor at around 4.30pm in the hope of getting back to Dorking somewhere between 5.30-6pm.
