Antwerp Christmas Market

This year’s tour is based in Antwerp, Belgium’s second city where the colourful Christmas Market is held in the picturesque old town centred on the Grote Markt (main square) and filling the surrounding maze of mediaeval streets.
But, aside from its Christmas Market, Antwerp offers a marvellous array of shopping opportunities and a fantastic range of restaurants, cafes and bars.
We would further add that Antwerp boasts some great cultural attractions including some world class museums & galleries.
THE 4* PARK INN BY RADISSON
The 4* Park Inn offers a great central location within easy walking distance of the main shopping streets and the old town that’s hosting the Christmas Market.
As for the bedrooms, all are air conditioned and offer private facilities, satellite tvs and free wifi. The Park Inn also boasts its own bar, while breakfast is a continental style buffet.
The Itinerary
Friday: After leaving Dorking at 07.00 the coach drives to Folkestone to catch a Eurotunnel crossing to Calais. The crossing takes just 35 minutes and, once on the Continent, the coach drives to Antwerp to arrive by early evening, allowing for an extended stop in Ghent and its Christmas Market which is held in its mediaeval city centre. When you get to Antwerp you will find it offers a great range of restaurants, cafes and bars.
Saturday: The Antwerp Christmas Market opens today, and your time is completely free to enjoy the market and the city’s great shops, restaurants, cafes and nightlife.
Sunday: Departing the hotel after breakfast the coach starts the journey home. En route to Calais the coach will detour for an extended lunch / shopping break in the historic city of Bruges which will also be hosting its colourful Christmas Market when you visit. From here the coach will drive back to Calais. The anticipated time of arrival back at the departure point is 20.30.
