Death on the Nile – Matinée Theatre Trip with free time in Canterbury

Bitter rivals. Buried Secrets. A love to die for.

Following the incredible success of our trip to see Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express in November 2024, we now have the opportunity to see Death on The Nile from the same production team.

Lucy Bailey (Director of the West End’s Witness For The Prosecution) once again directs Ken Ludwig’s stage adaptation of another Agatha Christie classic.

On board a luxurious cruise under the heat of the Egyptian sun, a couple’s idyllic honeymoon is cut short by a brutal murder. As secrets that have been buried in the sands of time finally resurface, can the world-famous detective, Hercule Poirot, untangle the web of lies and solve another crime?

Not only do we get to enjoy this literary classic, we also have some free time in Canterbury to explore the lovely city, do some retail therapy perhaps, or visit the cathedral, if we so wish.

Leaving Dorking at a very civilised 9.30am, we should arrive in Canterbury with around 3hrs free time with which to enjoy the city and perhaps grab some lunch, before the matinée begins. Once the performance is over, we will reboard our coach for our return journey to Dorking, hoping to arrive back at around 7pm.
