Agatha Christie’s The Hollow (Matinee Theatre Trip with free time in Brighton)

Renowned detective Hercule Poirot expected a quiet break in the country; instead, he’s drawn into one of the most unsettling cases of his career.

Following the incredible success of our trip to see Agatha Christie’s Murder on the Orient Express in November 2024 and Death on the Nile in January 2026, production company Fiery Angel reunites with Lucy Bailey (Director of the West End’s Witness For The Prosecution) to bring this darkly seductive new staging of one of Agatha Christie’s most compelling mysteries.

At The Hollow, an elegant country estate, a glamorous circle of guests gather together one summer evening. But beneath the sunlit charm, something darker coils. Old passions refuse to die. New rivalries ignite. Dangerous infatuations take hold. Then a shot rings out. A body is discovered. A smoking revolver in an unsteady hand. The scene appears almost staged; a shockingly straightforward crime… It is anything but.

As alibis unravel and masks begin to slip, Poirot finds himself navigating a treacherous web of desire, jealousy and betrayal, where love curdles into cruelty — and everyone has something to hide.

Not only do we get to enjoy Agatha Christie’s genius, we also have some free time in Brighton to enjoy The Lanes, visit the Pier, or the i360, still leaving time to grab some lunch before the matinee begins. I could even arrange a guided tour of the stunning Royal Pavilion if there is the interest.

Once the performance is over, we will reboard our coach for our return journey to Dorking, hoping to arrive back at around 6.30pm.
