The award-winning Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre production of Jesus Christ Superstar comes to the iconic London Palladium in the summer of 2026.

Starring Sam Ryder as Jesus, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar follows the events of the last days of the life of Jesus Christ, as seen through the eyes of Judas. Reflecting the rock roots that defined a generation, the legendary score includes ‘I Don’t Know How to Love Him’, ‘Gethsemane’ and the iconic title number ‘Superstar’.

Sam Ryder is a BRIT and Emmy nominated, critically acclaimed singer, songwriter and musician. He achieved dizzying success on TikTok, and at the Eurovision Song Contest he gave the UK their highest place in 25 years, finishing runner-up to the Ukrainian entry. The song ‘Space Man’ was a huge hit single, skyrocketing him to the forefront of the airwaves and demonstrating the wonderful vocals we can look forward to hearing as he takes on the role of Jesus. Sam has since scored a No. 1 album, No. 2 single, accumulated billions of streams, over 20 million followers, and much more. Embarking on a new era of his career, Jesus Christ Superstar marks Sam’s theatre debut.

Following 2025’s phenomenal success with Evita, where tickets were virtually unobtainable once the reviews were out, and any that were had significantly increased in price, one of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s greatest musicals takes residence for a very limited summer run.
