Jesus Christ Superstar

The award-winning Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre production of Jesus Christ Superstar transfers to the Theatre Royal Drury Lane this Autumn following phenomenal demand for tickets during its summer residency at the London Palladium.

Starring Sam Ryder as Jesus and Michael Ball as King Herod, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar follows the events of the last days of the life of Jesus Christ, as seen through the eyes of Judas. Reflecting the rock roots that defined a generation, the legendary score includes ‘I Don’t Know How to Love Him’, ‘Gethsemane’ and the iconic title number ‘Superstar’.

Whilst no stars’ appearances can be guaranteed, Sam Ryder is currently scheduled to perform when we attend – as is Michael Ball OBE (Les Misérables, Aspects of Love, Chess, Hairspray, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Phantom of the Opera & Chitty Chitty Bang Bang).
